Owned by Lapis Advisers, LP, the Heritage of Green Hills is located on nearly 80 acres of rolling hills near Reading, PA. The healthy lifeplan community has independent living apartments and villas, assisted living, and secure memory care.

The new health care center, expected to open in the summer of 2022, will feature 70 personal care and memory care one-bedroom and studio suites. The development will feature concrete and steel construction and wide hallways and oversized windows, providing natural light and views of the scenic campus. Each residence will include top-of-the-line fixtures. The personal care suites will be among the largest assisted living homes in the market.

As owner’s representative and developer, Certus has been working with the local community and the team of Benchmark Construction, Meyer Design, and Stackhouse Bensinger to bring the vision for the new building to life. Certus and the team were able to preserve during COVID 19 and restrictions to get the development approved and off the ground. The new health care center is important to the Berks County senior population and will provide enhanced care to residents of the Heritage.

“This is such an important project and it’s not your typical development. It is providing critical care to a vulnerable population in our community. It’s long overdue and we are thrilled to be here today,” said William Haase. “This will be one of the finest health care centers in the region.”
